outgrowths of the roots embedded in
the principles of Islam. Today I think
that if our nation could understand the
curriculum designed by her our situation
would have improved a great deal. Today
our students would not be standing in
a long queue for foreign visas. Believe
me if the curriculum designed by Afia
were disseminated in the country,
foreign students would have
accumulated
here
in next fifteen years.
Every graduate of
ours would be a
Hafiz e Quran; he
would be familiar with
the meaning of Islam and
understanding of Quran.
It was really an impressive s y s t e m .
Today I understand that what terrified
America and why Aafia had to meet such
a terrible fate.
Although the jury knew all this yet
they declared her guilty and she was
sentenced to be in prison for eighty six
years. The judge says that he did not
have enough proofs but they wrote this
decision in the light of what Pakistani
lawyers wrote. When our senators’ group
went to America they got to know that
her clothes are put off and five males
search her body and then they threw
Holy Quran on the floor and ask her
to walk on it. Aafia herself asked in the
court that is there any Muslim whom I
could tell what they do to me? She said
that those criminals used to tear the Holy
Quran and throw its pages on earth and
ask her to walk upon them. How could
s h e
walk upon them? They keep
her naked to force to do
so. And if she wants to
meet her brother they
demand the same thing
and repeat the same if she
wants to meet the lawyer.
Then they complain that
she is not cooperating.

Aafia was sentenced for eighty six years
imprisonment. Her real brother was in
the court but was not allowed tomeet her.
They snatcher her head scarf and torn it
into pieces. They took away her Quran
which used to sooth her. Aafia said in the
court that she experienced death when
her infant child was taken away from her
but that death was nothing as compared
to what she was feeling when they took
away the Holy Quran.
