and how her Muslim brothers not only
blindly believe those false claims but
say why would America lie, she must
have done something ... America is very
just etc. Yet the evidence proves Aafia’s
innocence, no links to wrong groups but
media keeps slamming dirt and people
without confirming keep repeating. Why
my Muslims forget the aayas of the holy
Quran that ‘ if a non Muslim puts a blame
on a Muslim woman, your first response
should be.. no this is a Bhutan i.e open
lie these were revelled in Surah Noor
over 10 verses mentioning the time when
Ummul Mo’mineen Ayesha Siddiqa یضر
اہنع ہللا
was in a situation and the people
started spreading rumours. Allah clearly
addresses all people having eeman not to
repeat anything that defames a Muslim.
Have we lost our eeman and are willing
to have our supplications slammed to our
faces? This thought hurts me most. I love
my Ummat and pray for guidance and
courage.
Payam-e-Haya:
When is the last time
you talked to Aafia and can you share
some with us?
Ismat Siddiqui
:
Last time she called
there seemed a tone of sorrow, and I am
a mother I feel the depth of pain however
she may try to be brave. She talks of faith
and how the prophet Muhammad
comforts her. She asked if there is any
true Muslim leader left ?
Payam-e-Haya:
How are Ahmed and
Maryam (Aafia’s Children)?
Ismat Siddiqui
:
Alhumdulillah they
are doing well and going to school. It is
a miracle the way they returned to us and
their recovery and progress in academics.
It also shows the power of people.
Payam-e-Haya:
Dr Fowzia siddiqi was
telling us that Maryam is a copy of Aafia
what do you think?
Ismat Siddiqui
:
Mashaallah Maryam
resembles Aafia a lot and I often call her
Aafia. She is bright and brilliant but a
little more reserved, serious... I wonder
what she would be if she had not gone
through this ordeal but the I think pearls
and kundan are made like this.
Payam-e-Haya:
Based on your
life what message would you give our
readers?
Ismat Siddiqui
:
I have learned two
big lessons in life One cherish your
mothers, for this is a love that Allah has
exemplified with his own. Not just your
mother but mother in law also this has
an even greater reward. Second however
tough things seem never loose hope, find
solace in the Quran and you will get it.
