mprisoned Aafia is the most tragic incident not only
for her own family, but also for the whole Muslim
Ummah. Mrs, Esmat Siddiqi, mother of Dr. Aafia
in her interview, tells that in her last call, Dr. Aafia
painfully asked, “Is there not even one person
amongst one and half Billion Muslims who could release
her from this dreadful imprisonment?”
How strongly our Beloved Prophet
ﷺ
persuaded about a Muslim’s rights upon
other Muslims by saying that “The Muslim Ummah is like one body. If the eye is in pain
then the whole body is in pain and if the head is in pain then the whole body is in pain”.
But I feel, we are playing just an opposite role. We are no more “one body” now a days.
Hence we cannot feel pain and suffering which is being faced by our own sister Dr.
Aafia in Kuffar’s imprisonment.
At 31st of March 2014, 11 years of her imprisonment have been completed.
Besides of all these hopeless and painful days, Dr. Aafia is surviving. She is facing
tragedies so much bravely that I and you can hardly imagine doing so. Infact, such
patience is not even destined for the people of very high scholarly prestige who enjoyed
high esteem in usual circles of life. Dr. Aafia has really become a role model for every
Muslimah who are frustrated and depressed while facing the troubles of life.
Darsequran.com has always played its role in this cause and continuously
motivated the social and religious circles to make special efforts for her release. E
Magazine, Payam e Haya’s Special Issue is also a link to this chain of efforts. This
issue is a tribute to our imprisoned sister Dr. Aafia. It is an encouragement to a brave
and courageous woman, the sister of Dr. Aafia, Dr. Fowzia Siddiqi, since long who has
been reviving and updating the issue of her sister’s release on all platforms. Also, we
hope. this issue of Payam-e-Haya could be a source of consolation for her all family
members.
May Allah SWT release our innocent sister and may she come back to her
mother and sister, soon. May she kiss and hug her children, soon who are waiting for
their mother since eleven years! Ameen!
